both sides of the story

The child I sometimes refer to as Little Man is a walking contradiction. He is a Mama's Boy, without a doubt, snuggling up to his mother, sniffling when she's not around, and generally making it quite clear that she is the center of his world. At the same time, he can be fiercely independent, he can brush off injuries that would leave his big sister Wittles sobbing, and he has no qualms about letting people know what his opinion is. The little guy is only two years old, but he seems determined to put his stamp on the world already. Should I let him know that he's got a few years still before anyone takes him seriously? Nah, he seems a little too happy with himself like this, so why rock the boat...
